SKETCHING AT WHINWHISTLE FISHERIES IN FEBRUARY

SKETCHING AT WHINWHISTLE FISHERIES IN FEBRUARY

Despite the endless rain and flooding eight TAS Adventurous Artists: Muriel, Vic, Ali, Pam K, Sue, Gail, Helen and Di met up for sketching and a really warm welcome from Whinwhistle Fisheries. https://whinwhistlecoarsefishery.co.uk/

Owner Ant Hawthorne looked after us well and the clubhouse was cosy and warm with a log burning stove.

Helen's choice of venue for February's sketching was spot on!

BIRDS & ANIMALS ON A FEBRUARY AFTERNOON

Our February Art Extra afternoon workshop was able to take place but we had to get past the road re-surfacing outside Calmore Community Centre.

This month, by chance, most of us drew our inspiration from birds and animals, except for Kay with two seascapes

Ali enjoys drawing wildlife using coloured pencils.

Linda practiced painting a cat in acrylics.

Helen paints and draws from nature with texture details.

Kay worked on two seascapes and Lesley used watercolours for her penguins.

Di employed tonal values for her pair of mallard ducks

Henry loves colour and used it freely in his portrait of a dog.

We use the time to practice pictures or work on finishing a picture. There is always time to chat as well!
