Wendy Jelbert demonstrated how figures can add interest to a scene for our autumn Saturday workshop at St John's Church Hall, Marchwood.
The first stage was an outline sketch of the most important features.
Masking fluid was applied in some of the lighter areas, particularly where there were to be white highlights.
Wendy used acrylic medium to thin the paint - particularly useful for subtle layering.
These techniques enabled us to achieve a wide variety of effects.
Thanks to Wendy, we had a truly memorable day!
