SKETCHING AT CALSHOT IN JUNE
Calshot Castle is a fort, built to defend England against invasion after King Henry VIII removed England from the control of the Roman Catholic Church.
It was an interesting architectural challenge.
Sailboarders had a challenge of a different sort - gusts of wind!
There were plenty of other subjects to sketch.

PAINTING IN MINIATURE AT OUR MAY MEETING
Gail organised a fun working evening inspired by the Delft hand painted ceramic tiles in May.
Our results were stunning!
Thanks to artist Gail for choosing the theme and arranging everything and to artist & photographer Tina who took our group photo at the end. We really enjoyed it!!

HOLBURY SKETCHING IN MAY
We had bright spring afternoon in a beautiful setting at The Old Mill at Holbury.
The charismatic thatched Old Mill Inn was a popular choice of subject for our artists.
One or two were captivated by a section of the tumbling mill stream, now hidden in the woods.
The Inn is not visible from the road and the turning can be missed. Here is a map showing its location.
