SEAS AND SKIES WORKSHOP WITH DAVE WHITE

WORKSHOP ON SEAS AND SKIES BY DAVE WHITE

We were very pleased to welcome Dave again after seeing his brilliant demonstration and looked forward to an inspiring day.

During the morning we learnt to put down smooth layers of different colours and tones as a background and add clouds going to a vanishing point. The clouds were very satisfyingly blended with our fingers

After a short lunch break the afternoon was spent on our waves learning to paint the breaking wave with the surf. Finally, with a flourish of spatter, we completed our paintings just as, at 4pm, we were told to "put your brushes down".

The day had passed very quickly with intensive painting. Dave with his wit and enthusiasm had carried us through and we were pleased to have learnt so much. Possibly the best workshop we have had and certainly one of the most informative. A big " Thank you, Dave " from all who attended.
